Being a High Level athlete isn't always just about practice, routines, repetitions. It's about navigating the mental landscape that comes with high expectations, pressure to perform, fear of failure, and the constant desire to be better. This is where the coaches can come in.
A few years ago, I created this workbook and completed it alongside my athletes during a Saturday practice. It was one of the most meaningful sessions we’ve ever had. Not only did it bring our team closer, but it helped me understand each gymnast on a deeper level—making me a better coach. We still talk about that practice today.
Who Is This For?
This workbook is geared towards athletes aged 10 and up
Coaches who want to empower their athletes
Parents looking to support mindset growth
Gymnasts ready to take ownership of their mental game
What's Inside: This is a 25 page workbook with activities that cover:
-Positive Self-Talk & Affirmations
Replace the "I can’t" with "I’m capable."
Learn how to recognize and crush Automatic Negative Thoughts (ANTs) before they spiral.
-Your Word for the Season
Every champion has a focus point.
In this section, athletes will choose a single word to center their season around—like Fearless, Calm, Tenacious, or Joy. This becomes their anchor when things get tough
-Celebrate Your Proudest Moments
We don't grow by skipping over our wins.
Athletes will revisit past moments of pride to fuel motivation and remind themselves of how far they’ve come—because confidence is built on evidence.
-Fixed vs Growth Mindset
Break out of perfectionism and into possibility.
This guide gives clear, relatable examples of how athletes can shift from a "What if I fail?" mindset to "What can I learn from this?" With room to reflect and journal.
-Breathwork & Visualization
Before you take the floor, take a breath.
This section teaches step-by-step breathing techniques and visualization exercises to help gymnasts mentally rehearse success.
-Your Personal Coaching Cues
Every gymnast needs reminders that click.
We help athletes come up with their own personal cues that actually work—whether it’s “tight knees”, “breathe and go”, or “you’ve done this 100 times”—so they can self-coach even under pressure.
-Goal Setting
Not just any goals—goals that motivate, not overwhelm. Learning to Break down their goals between short and long term goals.
